Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn has been an actress for over 20 years. Her most well-known character was that of Skyler on the AMC drama Breaking Bad. She won Primetime Emmy Awards in 2013 and 2014 for Outstanding supporting Performance on a a Drama Series for 2013 and 2014. In addition to playing Martha Bullock and Jean Ward as well, she was a part of The Practice. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell in love with acting in preparation for her first performance before moving to Ohio. The theatre school she attended was Northwestern University, and spent an entire semester at the British American Drama Academy. Anna started her acting career working in the Chicago area theatres for a couple of years. After that, she switched to film and television. Anna received her breakthrough in 1992 when she appeared as Arden for 29 episodes of Down the Shore. In addition, she played in Seinfeld and NYPD Blue. Then it was not until the end of the 1990s when she landed an acting role on The Practice. Martha Bullock, a character that she played for a period of two seasons during Deadwood's 2nd season. Skyler is the character she played in her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully and Deadwood were also part of her acting career. Gunn was also on the stage to play in the David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. She also had a role in the play Numbered Day. It is an audio-based podcast that consists of four audio dramas. The relationship that exists between Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the narrative of Breaking Bad with the strained connection between them and the eventual end of their relationship mirroring the same arc of Walter White's last years of his life.
