The biological meaning of adult refers to an animal capable of reproducing. In the context of humans an adult's term has meanings associated with moral and social concepts. A legal adult, in contrast to "minors" or non-adults can be defined as someone of the majority age and thus considered to be independent, responsible and self-sufficient. It is possible to refer to them as"major" or "major". The age for achieving the legal age of adulthood is 18 but the definition can vary based on legal rights, country and the level of development in psychological terms.

The period of human development that is when mental and physical maturity is attained. Adulthood usually begins with an age that is 21. Following middle age (starting at around 40) is the time to reach the age of old age (around age 60). There are three major stages of adulthood early adulthood (18 until mid-30s) mid-adulthood (mid-30s until mid-60s), and later adulthood (mid-60s up to the point of the time of death). By the time we reach the age of early adulthood (20 to early 40s) the physical development is completed, though our weight and height might increase slightly. Our physical capabilities are peaking at the age of young adulthood. This includes muscle strength in addition to reflex time, the senses, and heart functioning.
